The weight of the testimony preceding is both amply deserved for Michael and tough for me to match. Typically, also, I'm a day late with my comments. But let me try: Michael, you've been a friend, a GNI colleague, and a fellow lawyer through some interesting events. You've accomplished a great deal while carrying yourself with grace and good temper. Now, apparently, you have also mastered the art of keeping your priorities in order. Among them I trust you will retain a love of music, especially the dark catharsis of the Delta blues, and we will jam, on shore or at sea, in due course. Cheers, Chuck C.

Yahoo! Celebrates World Press Freedom Day? The levels of hypocrisy in this statement are staggering. So let's keep it simple. How can Yahoo celebrate freedom of expression when they deliberately worked in collusion with the Chinese Government to put an innocent journalist, Shi Tao, into prison for 10 years hard labor for writing an email criticizing the anniversary of Tiananmen Square? Yahoo has never publicly called for the release of Shi Tao and has complained about the stigma that has followed the company since the journalist was incarcerated. Yahoo also continues to filter its Chinese search engine impeding uncensored access to information by the Chinese people. Yahoo! Celebrates World Press Freedom Day?? Seriously? What's next? Walmart Celebrates World Labor Union Day?
